Bull gets a boost within employment law

Kjersti is a highly experienced lawyer who has worked with employment law and dispute resolution for over 15 years. She has served as an attorney for private and public, domestic and international employers, organisations and associations. She has been a Labour Court deputy judge since 2017.

"Kjersti comes to us with solid employment law expertise and a personality that we know to appreciate here. We have made a strategic decision to strengthen our employment practice and have recruited several new talents in the last couple of years. And our own Jørgen Burdal was promoted to partner at the beginning of the year,” says Anette Mellbye, Bull partner and head of the practice area.

Kjersti has worked on a wide range of employment law issues. They include redundancies, conflicts, equality and discrimination issues, change processes and M&A. She also specialises in public sector law and collective labour law, including negotiation over and interpretation of collective wage agreements.

Partnership growth in the last few years

In recent years, Bull’s size and turnover have both increased. Over the current strategy period, we have sought to expand the broadness of our expertise in selected specialty areas to address issues our customers put forward. And to provide even better advice across disciplines.

For example, we have brought in new partners with solid expertise in company law and transactions, litigation, real estate and sustainability. Bull has experienced solid growth in recent years.

Experience as private practice and in-house lawyer

Kjersti came to Bull from Wikborg Rein, where she worked for many years. In addition, she has worked as in-house counsel at Tekna and as in-house employment law lawyer in the Gjensidige Group.
